An old Xeon server with DDR3 memory, brought back to life to run my own cloud: Immich, a stack of Docker apps, and an AI job scraper I built myself.
Server-grade hardware that's past its prime but still has plenty of cores and memory for self-hosting. Getting the most out of it is half the fun.
Everything runs as Docker applications, so each service is isolated and easy to rebuild, update or move when I change the setup.
My own photo and video library with Immich, as an alternative to Google Photos, with my data on hardware I control.
When something breaks in my lab, I find out why. That's the fastest way I know to learn how real systems fail.
Running on the homelab: a job scraper powered by AI that only shows me jobs that fit my portfolio, and ranks every one by how closely it matches my skillset.
Job boards bury the good matches under hundreds of irrelevant listings. Instead of scrolling, I let the scraper read them all and show me only the ones worth applying to.
Each job is scored on how similar it is to my skills (C#, .NET, Blazor, Python, C++, Unity), so the best fits are always at the top.
Self-hosted on my Xeon server alongside my other Docker apps, so it runs around the clock without any cloud bill.
I'm open to roles, collaborations and new teams. Reach out and I'll reply.
